Well, what else is there to say? The Emerald Tablet of Hermes is a very short (and equally cryptic) document that is one of the foundational texts of hermeticism. A must read for anyone interested in alchemy, magic, Western esotericism, mysticism, etc. The edition had several different historic exegeses of the tablet.
This is a book that is too long for its actual content. The entire book is really ten minutes long. There's an extra 50 minutes of translation and reinterpretation thrown in to extend the book. If you read the first two chapters you've read the whole book.
I applaud anyone who takes great lengths to research, gather and report on deep and difficult subjects such as this. Because the author took hours of time to record all the information in this book, I won't have to do so. The book is interesting and informational. Great reference publication, too. For the price, it's a real bargain.
Book of wisdom .It describes the presence of a powerful force in the whole world and within every thing which operates to create and renew everything .All the English translations are the same but just a slight differences in their wordings.
I'm a fan of esoteric non fiction which this classic book is; and contains five interpretation / translations by Theologians, Mathematicians, Scholars and esoteric masters. What we have a description of is, "What is the emerald tablet of Hermes." I would not hesitate to read it again for enrichment of mind and development of my personal imagination. A lovely collection of brief and esoteric descriptions for the developing writer to absorb and follow behind the masters.
This entire material is about 5-10% words from the Emerald tablet, and the rest is merely translations and interpretations in different languages and from different commentators; all basically repeating the same thing. How about a commentary or translation which provides modern day applications? That would be cool!... like those Christian study Bibles, but of Hermetic philosophy.
